How to survive Mobilegeddon

Perhaps you’ve noticed — the Internet is not a place for subtlety.

We’ve all heard the boy cry wolf a few times. But that doesn’t mean you should let your guard down — especially when it comes to your website’s performance in search. After all, 75% of users never scroll past the first page of search results.

So when Google announced that its search ranking algorithm will now be taking mobile-friendliness into account — an event otherwise known as Mobilegeddon — people listened. The change went into effect last week — and while results have been mixed so far, there’s no better time to make sure your site is responsive.

Not sure if it is or not? There’s an app for that. Test your site and see how it fares. (Moonsailnorth.com is considered mobile-friendly, so check us out on whatever device you prefer!)

We live in an increasingly mobile world. If your site works correctly on a desktop but not on a phone or tablet, you could be missing out on significant opportunities.
