If you watch the Food Network, you might recognize the Moonsail North team in a brand new TV spot for Pure Michigan. The 60-second segment began airing this week, and in it, Scott and I are interviewed about why we love spending time in the beautiful and vibrant town of Traverse City. You see the two of us wining and dining in some of our favorite spots, including Trattoria Stella, Tandem Ciders and The Little Fleet.
This was part of a trio of Pure Michigan ads featuring actual Michigan couples, not actors, talking about their passion for this unique state. We were excited to apply to be considered for the spot, and we were elated, to say the least, when we found out we were selected. Scott and I had a blast talking about why we love to eat, drink and be merry — thanks to breathtaking views, the area’s farm-to-table movement and innovative brews — in this perfect spot located on Lake Michigan’s Grand Traverse Bay.
While we got to talk up Traverse City, Old Mission Peninsula and Leelanau Peninsula, two other couples were filmed about Grand Rapids and Mackinac Island.
It was a true pleasure to work with the talented crews of Santa Monica-based Om Base Productions, Traverse City-based Brauer Productions, and Northern Michigan Talent & Production, also based in Traverse City.
