The Michigan Lakes and Streams Association (MLSA) is sporting a new visual identity that reflects their commitment to protecting Michigan’s inland waters for future generations!

#TeamMoonsail was thrilled to collaborate with this nonprofit to create a brand they’re proud to show off.

The layered shapes within the logo symbolize MLSA uniting forces to support, protect, and educate on the state’s beloved waterways. The vibrant colors convey the orange shades of a sunset sky over a lake — a symbol of community togetherness and shared appreciation for our beloved state. The lighter blue tone representing rivers and the darker blue tone representing lakes convey a sense of clean freshwater and tranquil waves touching the green land that embraces the waterways.

Impact stories are some of our favorite ones to tell. #TeamMoonsail recently helped the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) show how its economic development efforts and investment of $113M last year are helping the Tri-County Region to #LEAPforward. Check out LEAP’s 2023 Annual Report, Take the LEAP with Us, to learn more about attracting and expanding businesses, supporting small businesses and diverse entrepreneurs, strengthening the region’s child care network, and more.

In addition to unveiling the report this month, LEAP also launched its inaugural cohort of Ascend, the first-of-its-kind Hispanic/Latino business accelerator in the Lansing area, and its third cohort of Elevate, a Black business accelerator program.

The Lansing Regional SmartZone is #LoveLansing's go-to hub for all things innovation and creativity. In this past year alone, they helped spur growth through the creation of 32 new companies, raised $4 million in public and private funds, provided support services to 131 businesses, and unveiled a podcast studio tenants can use. Michigan State University's left-handed pitcher Nick Powers is “pitching in” to support athletes with special needs by donating a portion of his name, image, and likeness (NIL) earnings to the Miracle League of Mid-Michigan.

Thanks to his NIL contract powered by Charitable Gift America, the senior pitcher hopes to contribute to the growth of the program, and potentially the addition of a new dugout and bleachers at the barrier-free ballpark located in DeWitt Township. #TeamMoonsail's cheering on this win-win!

The Capital Region International Airport (LAN) officially locked in their LANding with American Airlines direct to Washington, D.C. through October 2028! We were thrilled to assist in a social media campaign to gain community support which resulted in letters from 800 mid-Michigan travelers, 23 governmental officials, and 65 business leaders. These letters were sent to the FAA and U.S. Department of Transportation to encourage renewal of this route. American Airlines officially gained federal regulatory approval for a five-year extension of daily nonstop flights from our state’s capital to our nation’s capital, which is a critical route for the community.

This edition focuses on the ongoing HIV epidemic and how the college is continually supporting patients and fighting stigma around the disease. #TeamMoonsail was thrilled to assist in the creation and launch of the latest magazine — read the spring edition now!

Oct. 26 marked the start of a weekly route to the popular Florida destination with up-and-coming air carrier Avelo Airlines. Passengers on the inaugural flight also received a charming beach tote with #FlyLansing sunglasses and more! #TeamMoonsail was thrilled to assist in the planning and execution of this exciting event and LAN branded swag. Avelo has LANded! The Capital Region International Airport recently announced their exciting partnership with Avelo Airlines! With a new air service comes two new sunny destinations. LAN travelers can now enjoy direct flights to Orlando International (MCO) and Fort Myers (RSW) beginning later this year! The affordable, convenient flights will target warm weather markets that serve as popular Michigander vacation destinations. #TeamMoonsail enjoyed assisting with the planning and distribution of this highly anticipated announcement — we look forward to the future of Avelo Airlines at the #FlyLansing airport!
