Clients, long-time supporters, the business community, and new building neighbors joined us this month as we celebrated our new #TeamMoonsail HQ with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. It was a packed day, thanks to the official ribbon cutting, our social media themed photo booth, and the introduction of the newest -- and smallest -- member of #TeamMoonsail. Being community-focused is one of our company's core values, and we want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate with us! Twitter’s big changes have begun. This month, Twitter began rolling out four key updates by introducing the ability to retweet and quote tweet yourself. The changes, which are explained in-depth in our blog post, tweak the 140-character limit and aim to make the platform more functional and user-friendly.

While the fundamentals of best storytelling practices don’t change, the distribution platforms we increasingly rely on do. Not only do they change, but they change quickly.

Social Media Examiner β€” an excellent resource for keeping up with the latest in digital media news β€” recently released its 2016 Social Media Marketing Industry Report. The report surveyed more than 5,000 digital marketers on how they are currently using social media to meet their goals, and how their plans may change in the future.

Since we spend a lot of time playing in the digital sandbox, we’re not surprised to see our strategies and tactics line up pretty well with the report’s findings.
