Our team has so much to look back on and celebrate from 2016. This year has flown by, but we would like to take time to highlight and appreciate each item of our 2016 Top 10 List. The items on our list have shaped the past year for #TeamMoonsail and we’re grateful to have had the opportunity to experience them.
10) Hosting Arts Night Out
In October, we hosted published poet Aaryn Richard to read poetry for Arts Night Out in downtown Lansing. Arts Night Out is a monthly art event organized by the Arts Council of Greater Lansing that allows residents of the community to explore the city’s art scene. Aaryn read from his postmodern, confessional manuscript, “Fever Dream.”
From boutiques to offices, to bars or parking lots, these Friday nights include artists of all different mediums. Many of our neighbors at the Riverfront Business Center transformed their offices into art exhibits as well, so we had the chance to collaborate (and create a Snapchat Geofilter!).
