This season, Michigan State Baseball and lefthanded strikeout specialist Joseph Dzierwa are teaming up to support 6-year-old Luca Wright, who is currently battling B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Through Team IMPACT, an organization that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, MSU Baseball selected Luca to be their prized recruit for this season!

LEAP’s new Capital Area Child Care Coalition (CACCC) website helps both child care providers and employers better support all parents and caregivers with more high-quality child care options.

This resource hub offers business operation and career expansion services for child care providers to ensure their programs are running at full capacity, plus child care resources and information for employers. Businesses can experience decreased absenteeism, a larger and stronger talent pool, and better productivity outcomes when they support the child care needs of their employees.

#TeamMoonsail was proud to amplify this launch through direct mail collateral, a paid social media campaign, and a geotargeted digital campaign. We look forward to the positive impact this will bring to the Greater Lansing region!

Simply "putt" — the 2024 Lansing Golf Open hosted by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce was a ball! As sponsors, #TeamMoonsail enjoyed a beautiful day where we tested skills on and off the green with trivia, games, and prizes.

Huge thanks to Brandon from In8 Create for facilitating a fun LEGO Lab team connection activity where we engaged in Serious Play! Using LEGO bricks to tell stories added a layer of playful creativity for this storytelling crowd. Working with the same set of bricks, and under the same instructions, we each created very diverse builds, showing our differences in style, approach, and perspectives. It was great to learn more about each other in such a novel way!

The MSU College of Natural Science was recently featured in the 10th-anniversary issue of Diversity in Action magazine for its unique approach to high school science!

In an effort to drive interest and expand participation across STEM fields, MSU researchers designed an engaging curriculum for high school students featuring comic books and hands-on experiments.

Impact stories are some of our favorite ones to tell. #TeamMoonsail recently helped the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) show how its economic development efforts and investment of $113M last year are helping the Tri-County Region to #LEAPforward. Check out LEAP’s 2023 Annual Report, Take the LEAP with Us, to learn more about attracting and expanding businesses, supporting small businesses and diverse entrepreneurs, strengthening the region’s child care network, and more.

In addition to unveiling the report this month, LEAP also launched its inaugural cohort of Ascend, the first-of-its-kind Hispanic/Latino business accelerator in the Lansing area, and its third cohort of Elevate, a Black business accelerator program.

As a full-service economic development organization, the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) supports a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem through a series of programs and services.

Congratulations to this prolific nonprofit for being selected as one of only 27 Small Business Support Hubs in Michigan! #TeamMoonsail enjoyed celebrating this momentous designation at an event earlier this month.

LEAP deepened its commitment to promoting a diverse business environment by launching Ascend, a groundbreaking Hispanic and Latino business accelerator program, and preparing to welcome another cohort into its Elevate business accelerator program for Black entrepreneurs.
