The Capital Region International Airport launched a new creative marketing campaign targeted to travelers taking to the skies for spring break, business trips, and upcoming summer getaways. #TeamMoonsail enjoyed flexing our creativity and design muscles to position the mid-Michigan airport as the gateway to the world for both leisure and business travel. #FlyLansing to LAND ANYWHERE, execute your BUSINESS PLAN, and ensure HAPPY LANDINGS. We mustache you a question: are you speaking up and checking in? This month, #TeamMoonsail supported Sparrow Health System with its #Movember campaign, which spotlights men's health issues, including mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and more. While "real" facial hair was not an option this year due to the pandemic, Sparrow found a creative way to rally support through a digital campaign featuring fun faux mustaches.

Did you know Michigan has a new auto insurance law? You are no longer guaranteed full medical coverage if you get into an accident—instead, you will need to choose unlimited lifetime benefits to ensure you are protected. Keep an eye out for the #ChooseUnlimited campaign spearheaded by the Michigan Brain Injury Provider Council—we’ve worked with them on billboards, social media and digital ads to educate consumers about the new law.

Congratulations to everyone at Sparrow Health System for this week's Sparrow Herbert-Herman Cancer Center ribbon-cutting ceremony. The center will transform care through innovation, with highlights including 40 infusion pods that overlook a rooftop garden, and linear accelerators that customize high-energy X-rays to a tumor’s shape. We snapped the standing-room-only crowd photo above in between social media takes.

Clients, long-time supporters, the business community, and new building neighbors joined us this month as we celebrated our new #TeamMoonsail HQ with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. It was a packed day, thanks to the official ribbon cutting, our social media themed photo booth, and the introduction of the newest -- and smallest -- member of #TeamMoonsail. Being community-focused is one of our company's core values, and we want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate with us! One of the many challenges — and opportunities too — of working in digital communications and the social media space is keeping up with trends. While the fundamentals of best storytelling practices don’t change, the distribution platforms we increasingly rely on do. Not only do they change, but they change quickly.

Social Media Examiner — an excellent resource for keeping up with the latest in digital media news — recently released its 2016 Social Media Marketing Industry Report. The report surveyed more than 5,000 digital marketers on how they are currently using social media to meet their goals, and how their plans may change in the future.

Since we spend a lot of time playing in the digital sandbox, we’re not surprised to see our strategies and tactics line up pretty well with the report’s findings.
